Mission statement

The Law Library is dedicated to empowering marginalized communities who have been the victims of human trafficking, modern-day slavery, and mass incarceration. We provide legal advocacy, community education, and anti-trafficking support to help our clients fight for justice and secure their rights. We believe that every person deserves equal access to justice, and we are committed to making a difference in the lives of those who have been impacted by systemic injustice.

Meet the Dedicated Team Behind The Law Library’s Mission

Karim Golding

Founder/Executive Director

Karim Golding’s leadership and vision have been instrumental in driving The Law Library’s mission forward being that he is an impacted individual. Karim has a two decades of experience as a community advocate and is passionate about empowering marginalized communities. 

Andrew Free

Legal Advocate

Andrew Free has a wealth of experience. He is a recovering lawyer, teacher, researcher, writer, organizer and technical consultant based in Atlanta, GA. His work focuses transparency based strategies for social change led by those most directly impacted by structures of harm.

Jennifer Hunter

Director of Educational Programs

As an author and educator, Jennifer Hunter brings her expertise and experience to our nonprofit’s popular education courses. She directs these courses, shaping the curriculum and ensuring that they are accessible and engaging for all participants. Jennifer also serves as a facilitator and mentor, working closely with our members to help them explore and develop their knowledge and skills. Through her leadership, Jennifer helps our nonprofit advance its educational mission and empower individuals with new insights and tools for personal and social change.

Teyana Gaines

Communications Director

Teyana Gaines manages social media for The Law Library, a nonprofit providing legal resources to underserved communities. She’s skilled in developing strategies that engage audiences and educates them about legal issues. Teyana’s proactive in keeping followers updated with latest developments. Her passion and strategic thinking make her an invaluable team member. Teyana seeks to make a difference through her work at The Law Library by raising awareness about legal issues and inspiring positive change.
